My Name is Sergio Jimenez, I am a 47year old diabetic. I have been struggling with my legs for many years. Two years ago, I felt I was going to die and got admitted into the emergency room. A doctor came to assess me and immediately said she needed to amputate my leg. She did not want to deal with my problem. I felt so sick that I almost accepted what she had proposed. But my heroes Lorie Henderson, Dr. Mendivil and Dr. Raja were at the hospital and they said I was too young to lose my leg. After extensive treatment, several grafts and the care of the nurses and doctors I am here telling my story. I am so grateful to the medical staff who never gave up on me.
